Tokyo-born pianist Maya Purdue has established herself as a rising star of the new generation of pianists in Europe and Asia. She completed her bachelor's degree in concert piano at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg and is continuing her master's studies in Vienna. Maya has performed in renowned concert halls such as the Vienna Musikverein and has received numerous awards, including the Carl Filtsch Prize (2022).

Maya was a finalist in several international competitions and was influenced by masterclasses with pianists such as William Young and Jan Jiracek von Arnim. In addition to her concert activities, she hosts the radio programme ‘Musical Journey’ and is involved in charity tours in Europe and Japan.

Yuri Kamanin was born in Moscow and graduated from the renowned Gnessin Academy of Music, specialising in classical guitar. He has made a name for himself in the music world as a multiple winner of international competitions. He has lived in Salzburg since 2017, where he successfully completed his studies at the Mozarteum University in 2019.

The concert programme includes music by composers such as Scarlatti and Schumann as well as pieces by South American composers.

All proceeds from the concert will be used to support young musicians and charity projects of the Rotary Club Salzburg International.
