Jazztrumpet meets Piano
Pianist Masako Ohta and trumpeter Matthias Lindermayr combine classical and contemporary music with improvised jazz in their duo. Their musical partnership began in 2019 and was honoured with a nomination for the German Jazz Award in 2023. Following their acclaimed debut Mmmmh, they now present the album Nozomi (‘The Hope’). BR-Klassik describes the two as ‘one of the most exciting musical constellations on the current scene.’ With the finest melodies, gentle dynamics and surprising twists and turns, they create a world of sound full of freedom and depth.
